Fireside Mystery Theatre is a motley assortment of actors, writers, musicians, and technicians united by one common goal: to take your darkest fears and put them in your ears. This twisted take on the old styled radio variety show was birthed by Gustavo Rodriguez and Ali Silva in 2011. The show got its name because it was literally performed in front of a fireplace at The LIC Bar in Long Island City, Queens. The show is currently performed monthly and recorded live at The Slipper Room in New York City. Thanks to the efforts of producer Daniel Graves, the show officially became a podcast in the fall of 2014 and was immediately met with great excitement and acclaim. FMT has a penchant for the mysterious and the macabre as well as a healthy dose of humor and spirited musical performances. In 2014, Rodriguez and Silva expanded their producer's circle to include Daniel & Rebecca Graves. FMT's scarifying stock company of actors is helmed by Ali Silva and has featured performances by Allison Guinn, James Rieser, Bill Heidrich, Courtenay Gillean Cholovich, Brian Wallace, Michael Pate, Mary Murphy, Anabelle Rollinson, Alain LaForest, Daniel Graves, & Lauren Elder. Silva also hosts the show in addition to her many characterizations. The show’s original material is written by Silbin Sandovar and Rebecca Graves. FMT was the subject of a featured piece in The Daily News in 2014 and was voted one of the Top 10 Podcasts in NYC by Untapped Cities alongside "This American Life" and "The Moth."

Byronic Women is the terrific company that staged the production of Arms and the Man that sort of got this whole thing started. A spirited collective dedicated to showcasing classic plays that feature strong female roles, they nonetheless found room for John and Brian (each pictured far right with the rest of the cast).

EASY TARGETS is for every audience member who has sat in the dark at a bad play thinking they now know what prison must be like. It allows the audience to act out the fantasy of punishing their jailers. A satire of one-person-shows, each EASY TARGETS evening draws 4 short solo shows from a library of titles such as “Keep On Truckin’”, “I Feel Pretty” and “The Greatest Love of All” and then invites the audience to show their “appreciation” by pummeling the performers with rolled-up socks any time they feel bored, annoyed, patronized, manipulated, etc. Each audience of EASY TARGETS forms a pack working to remind the performers, writers and designers that if they fail to respect the audience, they will suffer the sock.

THANKSGIVING
A not all-the-way true, but sometimes painfully so, dysfunctional family comedy. Chloe Patterson has invited her perfect fiancé to what she will make sure is the perfect Thanksgiving, despite her very imperfect family. She’s got a solid plan in place to combat any and all hints of dysfunction, providing for every possible contingency… except the unexpected dinner guest: a very unfiltered, Las Vegas stripper.
Scabs are picked, secrets are revealed and fights erupt as this group struggles to make it through another holiday unscathed.
